Saw a turkey today on some trails between Summit and Westfield. I have to check tomorrow, because I may have gotten its picture.

Meanwhile, this image that I downloaded from whatbird.com will have to do:

and I saw an even rarer bird: a Vice President of the Union County JORBA chapter!!!

I think I have a clearer one of the bird. Cool that they really didn't mind me standing there. Just went about their business.

Goldfinch at my feeder tonight. Mitch and I also observed a goldfinch today at Allaire, I heard his pleasant chatting as Mitch and I were chatting.

I spotted an American Redstart this afternoon behind the Environmental Center at Huber. This is the field edge you ride through when touring Huber. Like the Baltimore Oriole the orange patches are striking, however there is less orange and more black on the Redstart.

saw an indigo bunting at the parking lot of Chimney Rock. I normally bring my bridge camera with me, but somehow forgot today. Next time (assuming there is a next time, place really puts the "rock" in "Chimney Rock")

At my bils house in Hunterdon county poolside I spotted a Bluebird and Perrigrine Falcon. Good day.

I saw 2 bluebirds on my ride today too. I had some good wildlife spottings this week. A couple of fawns ran right in front of me at trail build, and then a fox was trotting down the trail towards me. Also a bear walked by while I was eating dinner in my back yard yesterday.

3000-something miles away, and I'm still running into them. They're a good bit bigger in Exeter, tho. 3 foot wingspan.
