Sports are known to bring together a diverse group of people. Let's see if the MTBNJ community conforms to that notion. I know labels generally used in this topic are frought with issues, but let's not be picky and play along.

I won't subscribe because I'm all or nothing. There are Buddhist principle I align myself with but Id never say I'm Buddhist.

had this discussion with w/@Arwen's Mom

i don't subscribe to the whole god+representative on earth thing.

BUT

Since prayer is thought, and thought is energy and quantum mechanics, i won't discount that prayer (or just generally focused thought) might have an affect.

PS - i'm going to ride through downtown clearwater shortly - and that means i may see Tom Cruise or John Travolta!

Religion is just another tool to control people imo. Read the Bible cover to cover 3 times and spent a fair amount or time trying to understand it. Even spent time researching the creation of the Bible. Came to the conclusion that most people have no ideal what is in the book yet claim to live their life by it. Kinda sad really.

Ever heard an opinion that was better off kept to oneself so to respect our fellow human beings? Yeah happens everyday and admittedly I catch myself doing it now and again. Like a fine wine I'm learning to filter my content as I get older.

Protests don't always start off with the intention of violence but there is always the one person who punches a cop in the face.

I try to pray at the Church of the Woods every Sunday morn. Or, alternatively, the Church of the Bay. Religiously.

IMO atheists and agnostics are very different.

I am Christian, but I do not agree with the religiosity that is present in religion. So I no longer say that I'm "religious". IMO Christianity has nothing to do with how many times you visit a church.
