Jake, I already got her a bottle of lube. She's going to be so surprised!

On a serious note, I would definitely book a trip like this during spring. Only problem is, I don't own a MTB, mainly because I don't have room for it!

you can rent one from them for a few bucks more than it would cost to ship one if you actually owned one. your choice, 26 or 29. obviously 26 is a better choice.

take it easy, frances. wait until you hear what jake has to say tomorrow...

btw, it's really not bad when you consider everything is handled, with the exception of airfare. did you ever price out a 5 day rafting trip in the GC?

HOLY JESUS, that trip is expensive.

figure out how much you spend on beer a year (or your porn vice :D) then re-evaluate that statement.

as steve said, everything short of airfare is included. about the only place you can go on vacation for a week w/o spending that kinda of money is your backyard.

Hey there Nick (and everyone else), I'll get into this more later once Jake posts the full deal, but I wanted to respond to this. Steve is right on here - these trips are designed for everything to be taken care of from the time you get off the airplane...including pickup at the airport. Transportation, lodging, meals, massage, hot tub, laundry service and most importantly, expert guided rides.

As the customer, we just want you to ride and relax...we'll take care of the rest. When you add it all up, plus factor in trying to figure out all the rides yourself I think you'll find there's a lot packed into that price.

Hope to see some of you soon! (Does that give away the surprise?)

Oh yea, for sure man. If you do a side by side analysis for a nice vacation, it comes out to be the same. I would still do this trip though.

And Jake, I've already done that. Rarely do I buy beer and the internet is full of free porn (so is my hard drive).

Now I just have to cut back on my Christina Aguliera concerts.

You nailed it....this is a "nice" vacation. We have some great competitors out there that do it cheaper, but it's camping, you have to find your way from the airport to the meeting spot and no pre-tour lodging....among other things. It's absolutely what you want and what you are willing to pay. We wanted to add something new to the market instead of being a "me too" company.

I feel very confident saying you would be damn happy with your trip. :)

matt, are there options for non-biking significant others?

There are. Here's the short list:

Durango
- Mountain Jeep Tours
- Durango to Silverton Scenic Train ride
- Rafting
- Shuttle over to Mesa Verde National Park
- Trimble Springs Spa

Zion/Gooseberry
- Zion National Park
- Bryce Canyon National Park
- numerous spas

Southern California (pretty much endless)
- Beach
- Hollyweird
- Beverly Hills

The best question is are you hiring? I would love to get a job as a guide and have to organize trips. That would be sweet... I almost moved to Durango last year. I could be persuaded again...:D
