Back in the 80s/90's as a musician, we tended to dislike the suits that made all the money, record co guys, publishers, managers, agents, etc. Seems all that money they made though, trickled down the system to great studios, engineers, producers and session musicians, basically supporting the whole music industry ecosystem. Now, mainly because of free music on the internet, labels are gone, great studios with highly trained engineers are gone, budgets for session musicians are gone and now the only way to make any money in our profession is to hawk tee shirts. Thankfully, at least itunes is paying back into the industry. I don't know if you can imagine all of the time, money, effort and tallent that goes into that song you want to download. $1.29 is a steal!
