Going Long and Hard.

You have to use the Taco Bell cup.

Anyone get hit by this storm? Just missed us. A block over has like a dozen trees down. Plainfield got ROCKED. Took over 2 hours to get home.
Chimney Rock area mostly spared, storm skirted around us, just got hit by edges.

Was finishing up a ride peddling up the fire road towards home when the winds picked up something fierce. Trees were swaying like crazy, was seriously worried about one of them big old limbs ending my day.

Over all we didn’t get anything near what all the warnings were saying thankfully. Lost power about a dozen times for about a minute each but other than that not much.

Similar story on my side of town, but the Mrs went to yoga in Warren and said there were trees down all over. How did you make out @qclabrat?

So do you plan out water stops on all these crazy rides or do you just send it and hope for the best woth places to stop? This heat is killing me recently I'm carrying 4 30oz bottles now 🥵

I carry 2 bottles and can go 4ish hours with that. I really prehydrate in the days leading up to a big weekend. At least 4 Nalgenes of LiquidIV for 2 days prior plus a normal day’s drinks. Pee every 30 minutes kinda hydrated.

Hit the Tuesday Gravel ride in the Bedminster with MTCCNJ and/or All-On depending on what you wanna call it.

Super impressed with the new Tracer. I love me a big grippy tire and these definitely hook up. Still roll probably close to the old S-Works Pathfinder. Maybe I’ll try the new 50c version of those although I’m not a huge fan of the smooth center. I like having knobs. Like your mom.

Here’s something relevant to a thing that’s happening.

Is this peak athletic performance? Some say it is.

Taco Bell #1 was Easton Ave in Somerset. Only a few miles from the house so I got Cinnamon Twists and a Mt Dew Zero to start the day.

Taco Bell #2 was in Ewing. Hit this one close to lunch time so I got 2 Bean and Rice Burritos and a Baja Blast Zero.

Free Refilled with Baja Blast for the next stretch up to Taco Bell Flemington. Stomach was a little weird from the heat so I got plain chips and a water.
