Going Long and Hard.

Been in digital hell today. Got a new laptop and spent most of the day swapping things from 2 other laptops into the new one. Tons of guitar plugins, animation software, zwift, adobe everything. Then had to actually buy Logic Pro because my old computer had a bootleg version that I couldn’t swap. It took me months to get that dialed in so not really looking forward to going through that again, but here we are. Left the old laptop setup so I can finish Per’s Project if I can’t figure out everything in time with the new program.

On the plus side I spent about an hour dialing in John’s Tones for the new Album and saving them so that’ll come in handy at some point.

Then I built a new aperture because my old one blew up falling off the desk. This one has a magnetic base and feet so it actually sticks and doesn’t balance all sketchy.

can you drag your old Logic Pro files to an external drive and then into the new Log Pro??
 
After dinner Blender practice. The Mac has a completely different set of shortcuts and not having a mouse you also have to assign some buttons in the program settings. Not super hard because I’m used to the Mac layout, I just have to unlearn the PC stuff. I also signed up for a Blender Modeling class because that section is way different than anything I know. These models are just stock from Adobe so I can focus on rigging and animation, which is the fun stuff.

I could actually work but can’t get bikes in the stand. Being it’s corporate I have to be able to carry 50lb e bikes up stairs before I can go back. Which I can’t test for so HR maxxed out my leave at 12-weeks to cover their butts. Simon was out for a year when he broke his leg but he’s Management so no one noticed he wasn’t at work 😂
 
Today’s progress, for now at least.

Did an actual 30-minute ride on Zwift and will see what my leg feels like tomorrow. I feel completely normal on the bike so I imagine I could ride as much as I want, but don’t want to get ahead of myself.

Finally made legitimate steps in Logic to actually record properly. Dialed in a pretty good lead tone and punched in a bunch of takes to work out some ideas.
