Allaire with studded tires

I had fun riding my SS at Allaire today. I did not have any problem with braking or icy ascents at Tiger Woods.. I could stand up and mash... Just a bit slower than usually http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/7549863

You can have fun too ;) - just make or buy studded tires

So 6 hours what I spent yesterday making studded tires PAID OFF!

Very nice work Al!

I am loving my nokians too. They are mandatory at 6-mile right now.

We should ride this week while the conditions remain perfect for ice -biking!

probably I'll add few more studs for 6 Mile twisties ;)

there's only one problem with homemade studded tires - they are heavy. I think plus pound or more for a wheel.

I rode yesterday, no studs, no helmet, no problems, the conditions were overstated.

So you could miss iciest places... Tiger Woods was the worst but some sections of Orange were very icy too.

I did it blindfolded so I cant really confirm; I mostly stayed high and dry - plus the daily bonus of compleatly destroying the coke trail.:)
