Hey man, I'm not saying your wrong... Perhaps if we had laws like Australia, there would be even way less deaths.... I believe there would be.... But bottom line... We have the second amendment... Majority of Americans like guns, they also vote... The people they vote for know that if they make any serious gun laws, they will be voted out....plus we have like 400 million guns here already... The ex president gets shot and some poor innocent bystander killed.... Not a word about more gun laws.... Imo, guns aren't going anywhere in my lifetime at least

The lots of people like something does not hold up well. Lots of people love meth so we should make it easy to get like guns. The 2nd amendment was ratified in 1791ā€¦ the country moved away from slavery and treating women like property . Maybe itā€™s time we removed the guns so more kids can grow up instead of ending up in the groundā€¦ but guns are cool and they allow men with small thingies to feel more manly. So who cares about the dead kids, a man has to have guns to be a man dam it!

And its been challenged in the supreme court as recent as 2008, 2016 and again in 2022....in all cases its been upheld......Guns are not going anywhere. Our politicians, even the most liberal of them won't go near this issue on anything past a local level. I mean in the wake of the Uvalde shooting in texas....state lawmakers tried to change the age for buying a semi auto rifle from 18-21....it totally failed....and you think guns are going to be banned??? Its never happening.

When having a conversation on the internet, one must take these numbers into account. At some point you end up realizing you are dealing with a double digit person(s). Easy gun access equals more mass shootings. To be for easy gun access means you are for more mass shootings. If you canā€™t make that connection, see above. Jmo

You clearly don't understand what the 2A is really about, and I doubt you ever will. Also, equating IQ with morality and someone being a "good" or "bad" person really shows who YOU are. Typical elitist, holier than though, leftist.

Personally I believe all the anger is generated by fear, and I can understand that and appreciate Scottā€™s positionā€¦.I really do. It breaks my heart every time I hear about mass shootings and wonder why someone could do something like that. I just donā€™t feel that the knee jerk reaction of eliminating guns is the answer. It reminds me of the jokes of blaming forks for weight gain. But at the end of the day people are entitled to their opinions, and thatā€™s fine.

I dont know, I feel like along the lines of what @Johnny Utah was upset about....Like we should be able to talk about current events here without it automatically getting shut down. So long as we keep it respectful.....which ok, im not going to argue that some lines might have been crossed.
