Lewis Morris Conditions

After this past weekend's group ride, i noticed the purple/bombs away/tingly trails were in dire need of a cleanup so this morning while on a 4hr work call I did the needful to the left side of below loop. Yay multitasking. All trimmed, clear of blowdowns and awkward logs. The flow is ready to go.

Thanks so much for taking care of this! I have been super busy with work so I haven't been able to get out at all to do any sort to clean up. Hoping to get a few days on the calendar to get a group out. @WickedSistahEast lets make it happen 🙂

Pretty good conditions, soft in spots and the muddy spots are getting bigger. Moved the deadfall I could last night but if you see something that you can move help us out and move it. If you see a larger limb that needs a saw let me know and we can let the park know.

Good conditions today. Got rid of this double that was across the Green Trail with a gap underneath it. Not really ridable.

Finally made my way here, conditions were excellent. Only issues was some pooling/rutting in what appear to be typically problem areas anyway.

@WickedSistahEast and 5 other volunteers got out today and worked on the orange reroute. We are calling it done for now, but some fine tuning after it’s ridden a bunch. Look for old orange to be closed in the next few weeks by the park.

Leaves are starting to get burned in on the heavy use trails. Please note that old orange is going to be closed soon.
We also have a TM day next Sunday the 19th at 9am. Lots of rough cut work this week to get rid of the terrible switchbacks by the log pile. Pave Sports donated a bike cleaning kit that ill pull a name on Dec 20th, you're entered by showing up.

Two part post:
The old orange trail is officially closed. Nets are up, be aware if you are riding in low light. Attached a map for those not familiar. Yellow highlight with red markers are closed.

Parts of the Yellow Switchback reroute are now rideable. They are NOT completed but very passable and I removed everything that I thought could grab your derailleur. Some spots are soft, but please go ride it and burn it in. Provide feedback, recommend changes, now is the chance to make it what you want. 3 spots to enter/exit marked A, B, & C. A to C is the attached Strava map. There are 2 Pink and 1 Orange flag at the A entrance.

Thanks for the update! The old orange trail is still on Trailforks, marked as all clear. Should likely be removed or marked as permanently closed.

Rode the B to C switchback reroute last time I was there. It was great.

Love the reroutes around the switchbacks. Rode them today. My friend explored the the new trail that starts above the switchbacks on the left side and connects to the middle of the switchbacks (not on my map). All excellent!
