No bonus
Since the sun was out yesterday decided to get out for an hour or so and not ride zwift despite the cold and wind again. As soon as we left my block it got dark and started sprinkling and more windy. We checked the radar and decided it didn’t look bad and 10 minutes later it stopped.
Legs felt good after indoor intervals the day before.
Ride time 1:17:38

Hopped on the fattie for a ride around the local woods and it felt like the bike was a yoyo. Looked down and saw a pretty crazy amount of front end flex. Turned around and headed back home where, upon further investigation, I learned my fork was pretty significantly cracked where the steerer meets the legs. So I hopped on my trail bike. I must say, I am pretty sure the damper on my Fox 34 is blown as there seemed to be no difference between ”firm” and “open” modes. What a forkin morning! In any case I managed to turn out an hour in the local woods before it was time to head off to youth basketball again.

Jan 17th 1'16" no bonus.
Woke up, realized it was low tide and took my bike that I'm still storing for a friend out on union beach. It's a surly pugsley.
What great excersize this thing is. You have to pedal to keep moving.
Jan 18th 1'3" no bonus.
Quick local loop to natco. Did some exploring. It was a great day to ride. This warmer weather is awesome.

Woke up and saw the tides were going down.
Decided to take the pugsley out again.
It's amazing how different the beach looks at different times. Ran into a homeless camp set up right on a trail to the beach.
The ride it self is awesome. Riding on the beach with a 20 mph tailwind is great. Crystal clear out and the NY skyline was quite visible.
