In Buffalo or at the Falls?Apparently the Canadian side is the better side to see the falls. I was there earlier this year and had no idea. I did eat my weight in buffalo wings which was a good consolation prize though.
I was bouncing all over the place for work, so I had no idea where I was most of the time. But I was probably in buffalo when I was eating the wings. Did go to anchor bar once but seems like wing quality is pretty solid across the board though. In Buffalo or at the Falls?
He meant, go to Duffs.Stop by Buffalo on your way and get some wings

Stan's Notubes factory tour on the way. Big Flats, NY.Heading to Niagara Falls on Friday, any ideas for the best things to do? Avoid the tourist stuff or embrace it? 😁

The boat thing was ok too -
Be ready for the fireworks at night.
There is a riverside walk downstream a bit - water is really rockin through there.
I lived in Buffalo for 4 years. Never understood why people liked those. If you stop at Anchor bar get the Beef on Weck
Long weekend, getting in late Friday and coming back Monday. Thanks for the tips!Embrace all the touristy stuff and enjoy. Do the Maid of the Mist/Hornblower boat ride, Journey behind the Falls, the river walk, cable car etc. The gardens and the butterfly conservatory are cool. If you want to get soaked, do the whirlpool jet boat ride. Get the Wego bus pass and it'll take you to most places.
Niagara on the lake was fun, short ride and it kinda reminded me of a Cape May type town. Theres tons of wineries out there, there is a zoo I believe. Clifton Hill is tourist central but has a boardwalk vibe to it. Search Space ship diner, its like a 10 minute ride from downtown and kinda out of the tourist zone so its good food and not crazy prices.
How long you going for?
You can easily knock out the Maid of the Mist, river walk, Journey behind the falls in a few hours since they are all right there. Depending where you are staying you'll pass through the Clifton Hill area at some point.Long weekend, getting in late Friday and coming back Monday. Thanks for the tips!
