Day 22:

wow, I’m still in this thing. As I was riding to my parents condo in old Montreal, I was reminded about how much I love it here.

(21/31) Finally saw that infamous beaver!

Not going to lie, after rushing home to get gas for the mower and cut the grass, I was cooked. Almost gave up, until I was reminded there were only 10 rides left.

not really in any more but just here for the stories so might as well post my ride.

I did get out for a ride today later than usual due to helping wifey pack up the Van-bourghini for her weekend away with her friends. I ate a PBJ before the ride cause I was hangry and knew I could not last until after 2PM without food. realized 10 minutes into the ride I ate too much it was sitting in my stomach like a brick should have eaten just half.

Nothing too exciting and with all the stress from home and work this week I really needed this ride to get rid of all the anxiety i was feeling so just rolled around randomly until i got to 20 miles. Cool KITT KAR on my loop but I think I have documented this guy's car collection before. he has all the nice toys in there including a 63 split window vette hidden in the garage.

Day 22 - Last day of being 50...

...and I wanted to get a full lap in, but needed to be home and showered by 6 for dinner.

The boat on the right... this was him lining up for his second attempt. The first attempt resulted in an audible bump into the dock...

Since I rode easy yesterday and I know tomorrow will be an easy spin, I decided to push today. Legs still feel decent. Looks like I have a fun day down in Fredrick planned for Sat, so that will be different.

Day 22
I suckered @Santa into a big loop I’ve been wanting to do. Part 1 of a gravel/road 2 part mega loop. 40+ miles of gravel with 5 miles of singletrack and 1 flat. I guess my fat ass still has some endurance hiding in there. Not a bad day! Can I punch out after this and my month is complete?

22/31 - Le Tour DQ
Just like the TDF, but creamier.
Got wacked by a plastic sign hanging over the curb. Just like in France!
Someone wasn't sure if a ride without DQ counted. So I made sure this ride counted 😂🤢
It sounded like a good idea, until I did it...

16/31 office day today. Got home and had just about an hour before kids would be home and dinner would be ready. Stans was holding in the rear tire and went out for an hour ride with a plan to do some shopping at Flounder Brewing. @clarkenstein i thought that was you on the towpath at Griggstiwn. Didn’t mean to be rude, but was on the clock. By the time I made amwell I could feel the rim hitting on every little bump. Not good. Fill the tire. Some leaking but eventually the stans appears to hold again. Give it a few minutes and head down Amwell to Flounder and rear is flat again. Break down, hang the bike from the water tower support and install a dart. Find out Flounder is not yet doing cans or growlers for takeaway from the new location. Normally don’t drink mid week, but grabbed a pineapple sour while letting the sealant cure on the dart. Got home late but without issue. Pour a few more ounces of stans in the tire and dart appears to be holding. See what tomorrow brings.
