What's unplugged in the back top right of the picture?

No the whole thing should be frosty.

Are there two sets of coils? Maybe a clog in the line, i would expect a low Freon condition to prevent both sides from cooling

It's a sealed system idk if I could put freon in

Replacing the thermostat put it in the freezer down stairs it had no continuity

You typically can't add to these systems. If the tstat isnt working in the other freezer you found your problem, especially if the other one gets this one working 😉

Yup it's fucked

It's 1am and I heard it kick on while doing the dishes ac is also at 67 so I'm wondering if somehow it's helping either way I'm going to get someone out here think it's the compressor. LG will cover parts but labor is on me, ~500, were considering a new cheap fridge.

Stupid LG

Start resistor?

If the compressor isn't running continuously in a warm condition it is something else
Tech can trigger the compressor independent of the controls to test it

Are you aware that white duct tape is actually available? Wow, not even a piece of carboard behind the tape to prevent the wavy surface...can we have a look at the electrical box on the other side of the dealio? the rearview of crooked cut out looks promising...
Here is the switch pic you requested

And tomorrow my guy @SmooveP gonna cover over that duct tape with a built in cabinet, so don’t worry about that waviness.

Today’s project-
Swapping out the switch on a @elzoller sump pump.
Given they estimate the lifespan of these to be 3-5 years, this 11 y/o switch owes me nothing.

To up the degree of difficulty, I worked with the pump in place in the pit.
Mostly because it sits below the battery back up unit and I’m lazy.
Plus it added that Indiana Jones vibe- working carefully while the pit slowly fills with water....

Pretty straightforward-
Probably hardest part was getting the light gasket to stay in place while refitting the cover.
A little RTV would have been nice to hold it in place.

Okay, this is DIY, but that Y ain’t me-
It was grandmaster @SmooveP showing off his cabinet steez.
Filling an alcove that used to have a hutch in it with some much needed shelving.

Damn dude knows his stuff. C4D5502F-EC9A-4223-9C5A-743820627E24.jpeg

Albums are out of crates and onto proper shelves.
All the shelves are adjustable, so when the vinyl collection outgrows 2 shelves, just pull that middle cd shelf and there’s room for more.
I guess I gotta organize them now. ;-)

If you’re in Sussex Co and need a built in, @SmooveP is your guy.
