Are you going to protect the frame somehow or leave it to develop its own patina?
They don’t do a clear coat? I’m pretty sure Commencal’s “raw” frames have some coating but it still looks raw af.It's raw Aluminum so it should stay like this forever. And by forever I mean a year before I sell it.

Al immediately creates aluminum oxide when expose to air. It is harder than the base metal. Doesn't change with water or dirt. No need to coat.
Thinking about it, salty water or acid rain would make a difference. Good call. Not exactly. The surface is not uniformly exposed to the elements, so in time you’ll see spots and discoloration. I used a precut kit from invisaframe, the few parts that were not covered by the plastic film have taken a slight patina, while under the clear film it’s as good as new. Granted, the clever people at Knolly gave the frame a brush ‘natural’ look that would minimize the patina visual impact.
Also mud. Just observing my bike frame.Thinking about it, salty water or acid rain would make a difference. Good call.

Nope, I like my Knolly and I like my cables. Don’t get me wrong, yours looks like a really awesome bike, again congrats.Want it? Prolly 10k with that build.

Well, sounds like the peasant threshold just went up a notch or two. I was expecting you to counteroffer $5 as usual. Disappointed.Al is for peasants!
