Woody's Great Pumpkin

The UPS man brought me one hell of a trick-r-treat yesterday!
I.F. Deluxe 29er Steel Single Speed Disk-Specific
Saw it on ebay last weekend and couldn't resist.
Slapped it together last night and took it for a spin today. This thing is insanely smooth - makes Chimney Rock feel like 6-Mile! (Compared to my old 26" aluminum full-rigid ss, which breathed a big sigh of relief when if found out that it finally gets to retire after more than a decade of abuse and neglect.)
The new rig also came with a matching orange steel fork if I want to go full hard-core, but I'll enjoy the novelty of the Reba for now...
Woody's a happy camper.:D

that... is filthy. now put a seized head shok on it

Now you're making me get nostalic about the old beast... We've got so many memories together. Here's a pic from one of its finest moments. Handlebar snapped in half while bombing down a knarly descent - hit my face on the stem when the bar broke so suddenly, but somehow didn't crash - just continued one-handed to the bottom of the hill and used both brakes to stop. Rode it all the way home like that, with the broken half in my left hand just for brakes.
