Looks like we have a new trend or fad. Everyone's gotta have oil slick this and oil slick that. I'm looking for oil slick rotors. Who cares about stopping when you look cool, right?
 
I don't know.. seems to be going strong. I see people asking for all sorts of oil slick parts.
 
Never liked oil slick always thought it looked cheap . It was pretty heavy in the bmx world many years ago . And everyone knows if its gonna be a custom color anodized purple is the only option
 
CVD coatings for enhanced wear or friction properties, sure. CVD coatings purely for aesthetics, meh. Just a way to charge more for something.
 
Total scam. Just a way to get people to toss out their perfectly good black stem (or any other component) for the same thing but in oil slick and charge more. Yet somehow people fall for it.... some to extremes as if it's a challenge.
 
Let’s make it a game and see who can find the dumbest (bike related) oil slick product. I go first...
