Going over and cleaning up the new ride.
The rear caliper was only pushing on the outside piston
I removed the pads and pumped the lever and still no movement.
I then zip tied the outer piston in and pumped the lever. The inner piston finally moved about 2mm and started leaking fluid. Then it wouldn't go back in it was hitting something..
I used a compressor and popped it out,the piston was shattered.
Is this a warranty issue or should I just get a new brake.

Let's just say the heyday of shimano brakes seems to be behind us. Sram isn't batting so strongly either.

We are fielding 6-10 warranty brakes a week of late and neither brand is the obvious winner.. er looser.

Iv'e just gone back to Magura and Im'm very pleased.

As for this caliper.. it's doubtful that they will cover it, but I'd gladly give it a go if you like.

Thanks Jay,
After posting I found a used M8000 caliper from the pros closet on ebay.
Hopefully it will work.
It was only 29.00 bucks.
The bike has been sitting unused since October.
It had different pads on the rear. Ice tech on the front non ice tech on the back.
I guess it's like buying a used car. You never know what your going to get.
