What kinda road bikes is everyone riding these days???

I just ordered a Vaya! The frame will be here tomorrow and then it's time to pick out parts!

@walter , you should get one. Won't be the first time we have the same bike :)
 
Circling back to the Synapse, I think you would be better off getting the Ultegra Mechanical and putting the extra money towards wheels.

I can understand this perspective as well. It's an (un-discounted) $1200 additional for the Di2 setup with everything else being nearly the same, save the stem, seatpost, and bars which would likely be changed anyway when fitting the bike (ok, probably not the seatpost). So Di2 sounds great, but is it $1200 additional great?

how much is the Synapse with mech shifting?

I just picked up an Alr4 Trek Checkpoint Gravel - you can run up to 700c x 45 really wide ...
Great ride so far ... Manasqusn Reservoir 3-4 tines & D&R canal twice . I like the rigid front as well.
