What have you done to your bike today?

Wow, when was the last time you changed it?

Never. Bought bike used, so no idea how old the fluid was, but I've put a lot of miles on myself. Bought the stuff to do it long ago so I'm not really sure why I delayed for so long. I guess because I could stop fine. Felt a little guilty seeing how dark it was, but I put 26 miles on her today and those brakes felt as crisp as ever!

I just can't eliminate the Brake disc rub on my Fatboy's Level T brakes. I have removed the calipers, made sure everything was clean/distortion-free, centered the calipers, I have true discs evenly centered between the pads. On straight road sections I"ll still get the occational rubbing "zing", especially if I try (weave back-n-forth leaning the bike). I either don't notice or don't hear it off-road.

So, last night while cleaning the bike I put a little O-ring inside the pad return springs, secured by the pad retention bolts. I'm hoping this will supplement the pad return force? Test ride pending...

Cleaned and lubed up my i9 hub. Yes I lost a spring, but it was only hiding for 2hrs. I went with the thick grease instead of the thin oil. The boy racer loud hub effect kinda wore off and this has made them significantly quieter. They sound more like Chris Kings buzzing. First time ever I snuck up on someone today.

first battery fail - found out at the bottom of the hill going away from my house. SS for me today.

Realized it has been about 4 months since i rode the bike - might want to check coming out of the gate next time.

also had a weird issue today - might be weather related. the rear brake cable jacket was getting hung on one of the stem bolts.
Turning the handlebars caused a rear brake lock-up! A little push made it stop, but jeez! that was a surprise.

You couldn’t just swap out the front DR battery? That’s what I did when it happened to me. eTap transmits with the slightest movement.... people walking by even cause a reading.

both ded.. both working now. funny, i parked the bike inside after the ride, so i didn't have to mess with it in the garage, and nobody said anything.
just walking around it, like it belongs there.

This was the Gary Fisher Montare I got from mtbiker87. Had to strip the paint because I couldn't tell if some of the chips we're cracks. All turned out good so I painted it and got it all together. All I have to do is swap tires depending on where I'm riding. It passed the yard test, I'll put it through it's paces as soon as I can.

First pic, are 3 Salsa Bucksaws enough for you? Second pic has the plus wheelset that Jim built. Third is with fat (4") wheelset which I have on the back of my car right now for an after work night ride.
