A friend of mine told me about this app last year and I've found it to be very useful on a few levels:
1. Discovering new beers
2. Finding out if that odd beer on the shelf is awesome or terrible
3. Remembering if you have already drank said awesome/terrible beer.
It also has a social component too which is actually kinda cool- it's like Twitter for beer people but the breweries actually interact on occasion- I'm assuming it's because the community is still fairly small.
