It helps regulate the community because we don't have enough time to read everything. It's really no different than your reporting a post. It's just a way to bring something to our attention.
The poster in question was warned once, and let a week go by and went and did it again. If you're been online for more than a good 20-30 minutes you'd know it's generally frowned upon. You can call it spamming or running up your post count or whatever. Point being, it's junk, and it's against the stated rules here. Doing it twice usually gets a poster banned for good. Call it experience - things usually don't go in a good direction after that.
We have a 30 post limit to sell anything. If you disagree with that, it's fine. But that's the rule for better or worse. If you come and try to jack up your posts to hit 30 in 1 day, you're going to get called out for it, and your posts will be deleted. You can roll your eyes online, which can be interpreted as obnoxious and rude, but it's not going to change the fact that these are the rules, and we don't want people coming in doing that.
I got sidetracked a bit. In a more close-knit community you're going to get open discussion about people who are pissing on your feet, such as this. So you may think that the issue should be addressed in PM, but at the same time if you going into a bar room full of regulars and shit on the floor, they're not going to take you out back and kick your ass. They're going to do it right there.
Sorry, I'm tired and that's the best I can do. I don't want to see another 6 letter post from this guy again. I had a lousy day yesterday and I'm tired right now. This ain't a democracy it's our lame-ass little puppet show, and I'm gonna close the homemade curtain on this act if I read another word about it. Once was enough, this is the second time. Let's not see strike 3 because it's really not necessary.
