Hey @Johnny Utah , time for an update!
I hear ya, crazy few days rebuilding my suspension on the Jeep. Running around for work today/tomorrow but will try to update in between.

my question is why isnt the retired @rick81721 with all his free time doing the updates? why is he making the busy working man do it all?

also, looks like you have a fun build going on the jeep, enjoy!

Strava northport HS

Weekly ride to the northport HS trails. Not only are the trails great, but it drains very quickly. Did a loop and headed home - first time using clipless pedals on trails in years so was rusty, flopped over a few times.

Anywho, on the way home, saw a gopher tortoise moseying across the road. I gave him a lift before some cracker flattened him. Wondering why he wanted to cross, as soon as I put him down he started chomping on the grass. Looked like the same grass on the other side of the road so who knows why - I guess this partially explains their threatened species status.

Here we go, bonus for the week. Just like last time, solve the riddle, take a pic during a ride. It is a thing that anyone can find in NJ whether on the road or trails. And this one is super easy so no complaints ?

My genus can be used to flavor a booze,
My species is dominated by the towering blues,
Take a pic during a ride, or join the ranks of the rubes!

Nobody has figured out the riddle yet?

Oh hai, just dropping in for a quick ride upload and I've been falling behind on this thread. It seems like I can get 2 good (BIYF official) rides in a week lately, but my unofficial success is commuting at least ~~~5000% more than I have in the past! Did a local road ride extension on the SS road setup Sunday up to Rifle Camp and Garrett Mtn and the Paterson Great Falls and then some of my favorite hills in the Essex Co area (Eagle Rock switchbacks, Francisco Ave, and then a couple of moderate climbs on Eagle Rock Ave near Roseland). Felt good to get out in the sun even though it was barely 32 degrees. Legs felt a little sluggish, but post-ride power meter data (because I use a power meter to surgical precision when riding/training = NOT) spoke a good deal of how I've been progressing with my near daily short but powerful commutes and riding more consistently. I'm craving dirt though and it seems like every chance the trails are in okay condition I'm unable to get out. Still, a good ride is a good ride!

Title of Strava ride Ole Reliable as my Fat Bike had it’s first flat and my patch kit dried up around 20 years ago(I’ve been really lucky OK). 26er has not had a flat in the 26 years that it’s been in my ownership so time for its weekly outing. Time to finally buy a new patch kit and also consider converting the fat bike to tubeless.
