Anyone know a place that will repair a broken tent pole up north (Bergen)? Ramsey outdoor or Campmor? I'll call tomorrow, but maybe someone knows tonight?

No idea, but coghlans sells a sleeve kit for repairing poles. You could make one yourself out of an oversized pole (the sleeve) and a proper diameter section (the repair piece). Sand until they fit snugly, then epoxy the repair piece inside the sleeve, flush with one end, and the sleeve onto the undamaged section of the original pole, about 3", or so. Campmor has got to have a box of broken poles in the back.

Of course, you could also probably just replace the damaged section from a donor of the appropriate size...

Purchased the tent from Backcountry and they're good enough to take it back as a return and full refund. Will buy a new tent altogether. Backcountry rep called the tent manufacturer (North Face) and they offered a few good options as well.

Seems like a lot for a broken pole, but I have to love the customer service. Backcountry is rad.

Also called both Ramsey Outdoor and Campmor. RO doesn't repair, Campmor does.
