nice, the Natural History Museum in NYC has a lot rocks from NNJ.
It's actually quite a lucky we're so close, I'm going to see if my teens are interested, thanks for posting

Check out the Paterson Museum as well. It's a lot bigger then when I was a kid. I remember they had all these cool glow in the dark rocks there and the Holland submarine. Looks like they moved it and now have all kinds of Paterson and NJ history there. Good for a quick day trip.

agreed, I stopped by to preview it for a school trip for a charter school I was working with last year
I don't remember rocks, but lots of interesting local historical pieces
