Pretty much year round (sans snow) but you find more stuff in the warmer months. I've had times when I thought something was something else but I always get verifications for things I am not 100% confident about.

This is truly an epic under taking folks. Self supported for over 550 miles around the Adirondak park. A mix of all surfaces and when it is on trail very remote and raw. In some cases, unmaintained trails, deep river crossings and very long distances between resupply. He has his work cut out for him.
