how old's your kid? how does this compare to the pw50, i thought that was yammy as well?

PW50 is a oil injected 2-stroke that has basically only changed colors since 1980. They're dead reliable and the smallest Yamaha available. You can restrict them with a washer in the exhaust. The TTR-50 is slightly larger and a 4-stroke. I've never ridden one, but there's a bunch of aftermarket parts to turn them into a pimpin' pit bike.
