Can this be run SS?
It doesn't have EBB or sliding dropouts if that's what you mean. I've run it SS with a tensioning device on the derailleur hanger.

How did you strip the clearcoat?
If it was a large I would have picked it up as a backup. I love this frame.

I took off the clearcoat with some paint remover. There's just a very thin layer on top. Decals come off like jelly. It looks kinda ugly when it's coming off, but if you take some steel wool and Mother's polish to it afterwards, it shines right back up.
