I am doing a mini epic to get ready for Mohican next weekend. Riding from my in laws in Ringies to Pottersville but I will do sessions in RV and Nassau on the way. If anyone is interested in giving me a tour I will be at RV around 10:30. Text me 973-445-3329

Are you connecting rv->Nassau along the train line? I'm thinking Nassau to pottersville is Columbia trail to patriots path somehow.

Probably not. I will take the Columbia trail to California and then just ride the main road into Pottersville. This is a training ride for Mohican next Saturday but I have a family bday party to attend.

If you show me how to do it I may consider the RV>Nassau train line run.

i'm not sure if there is a rail-side access road - but jump on train tracks here https://goo.gl/maps/rtZkcZApmCT2 -
ride west to the high bridge train station,
east on columbia trail - then drop into nassau trails - (columbia trail is the top left of this ride) https://www.strava.com/activities/525510705

i always wanted to do this ride....no time today.

oh - ringoes -go out to sargentsville, 523 north, left on stanton-lebanon road, jump into the rv property at the south damn(past the youth center - you'll see the double fence) - head north-east. https://goo.gl/maps/itjdR8jSHGz

How far is the south damn from the fishing lot? I am meeting Alex there at 10:30.

i'm assuming you mean the boat launch? (the south lot also has a launch - and it is the first parking lot mentioned below)

on the trail ? south damn->boat launch 3 miles with 1 climb - ride the beach after the first parking lot (south lot) you come to - the fences may be locked over the swim area damn(https://goo.gl/maps/R6Z8rAnu8CD2), so you might have to ride the road -
they charge for park entry now. there are other entry points...trail crosses access road here https://goo.gl/maps/ZF257rjcaES2

https://www.strava.com/activities/1011620794/shareable_images/map_based?hl=en-US&v=1496080560 Thanks for all the guidance. I did 523 to Stanton Lebanon rd, cushetonk trail from RV south damn nort til the field where the railroad is. Followed the tracks west but the last mile was not bike friendly so I jumped off and rode pavement to Nassau. Explored two trails(no damaged trails and it would be almost impossible to hurt them as hard as that dirt is). Then took river rd through the gorge to califon/fairmount rd and headed to my parents. I made a quick detour to hit Van Pelt and Pickle rd. It was wet but man it was better than being inside. If I rode RV often enough I would want that 1x12
