Ride Widget?

Seems there was more coordination this weekend on riding than normal - more 'getting together' .

Was wondering if some sort of ride widget was justified. Something less complicated than meet-up (not that it is complicated, but you can't just randomly start an event)

date/time/place/pace then a list of yes/maybe, and the ability to cancel the ride.

-- or just go with a thread per weekend.

Seems better than what I was thinking up, if someone is willing to put the work into it.

I was thinking we have a "day rides" section on the board. threads only last 24 hours (or whatever amount of time) then get auto deleted so things don't get cluttered.

Hmm - threads with a fill in form to make sure the necessary info is there, and archive date...not bad...
