rear tires wiggles side to side

i've loosened my quick release, spun the wheel and cranked it, made sure it was retightened and it still has a bunch of play...are the bearings in the hub shot? hub is oem shimano blah blah blah.

i need to replace my drivetrain stuff so i'm thinking it might be time for a new wheelset as well...but only if i need it. what do you guys think it is that is loose?
 
Sounds like you may have loose bearing hubs. They may just need to be tightened up. My OE hubs loosen up over time, as well.
