That's right! Back for a 22nd consecutive year...the longest standing race in the region! Two years ago we officially became a "classic", so come on out and race this iconic event. And, as always, the Bulldog Rump is 100% Certified Organic and Non-GMO.

Our race is a USA Cycling AMBC event, which gives your more points and is a qualifier for mountain bike nationals, which are in West Virginia this year! If you've never raced at Snowshoe, you owe it to yourself to get down there and check it out. It's the real deal.

The course will utilize the newly renovated switchbacks out of the parking lot, as well as many of the old time favorites including The Triple Downhill, Glass Hill, Headdown Bunsup, Pungee Stick Trail, Lover's Lane, Boy Scout Trail, Horse Poop Alley, Saturday Morning, Allison Dunlap Hill, The S-Turns, Kungfu, Julian's Singletrack, and the Dark Hollow to name a few.

Day-of registration is available, but to receive the special early-bird pricing you're going to want to pre-register. How? Just click here to register!

We're also bringing back the Men and Women's Endurance Race for 2017! How many laps can you do in four hours? Sign up and see! Pre-registration only for the Endurance Race.

The course is 5.45 miles long with 600 feet of gain per lap. Certainly not flat by any stretch, but no grinds of a climb, either. Just a nice, fast, flowy course. Perfect course for beginners and veterans alike.

For the course map, click here.

The course will be marking by 1:03 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Possible future bonus question...Why is it called "The Bulldog Rump"? The original race (1996) was the "Bulldog Romp." Then, the next year we added a second race on the "other" side of the road. Since it had some bigger climbs, it was called "The Bulldog Hump." The following year in 1998, we combine both sides of the road (back when things such as road crossings were simpler) which created "The Bulldog Rump." (Romp and Hump, get it?) And that's the name that stuck.

Adios,

B.L.
