Question for the cops/firefighters/emts/tow drivers/first responders/ etc.....

Tow truck driver here. I carry a decent pocket knife that I keep sharp for that one in a million time when it needs to cut through something like a seatbelt. In 10 years I’ve needed to cut 2 seatbelts.
I’ve seen knives with a window breaker on the end but have never needed one as a carry a lockout kit. if that ever fails me I have a small sledge hammer for removing stuck wheels that I guess could go through a window pretty easy.

Some things that I consider essentials and are almost always on me or in my car are a good pocket knife, blanket, jumper cables, small sledge hammer, rain jacket and an extra pair of shoes.
In the decade I’ve spent helping people is shitty situations that is what I carry in order to be able to help myself. Hope it helps

^^^blanket and extra gloves - i have work gloves and nitrile.
i've seen some survival articles that talk about wrapping the floor mats around your legs.
Never leave the car if in a cold/remote place. esp at night. reference: Misery
