I need recommendations for a podiatrist and an orthopedic dr close to home. I have an okd injury that I want to see if I can remedy a bit. I broke my left femur 25 years ago and have favored one leg ever since. It’s got me crooked, sore etc. I broke it vertically into the knee joint so I imagine there is scar tissue. It sucks putting all this work in to have a right leg that seems almost double the size as the left because I baby it. It doesn’t bother me ridg but that’s probably because I so naturally favor it now. TIA

dave, theres that place on oakhill road just past TMBS. i was there for a sports injury. the whole group would be good. also you may be able to get adjusted by a chiropractor, for that i definitely reccomend kathy strauss which is right at the entrance of 7 presidents beach on ocean ave.

I have a chiro I like(elite chiropractic in hazlet). This whole post started because I think the road bike seated intervals aggravated an old scar tissue problem. Instead of bandaiding with knee braces, wraps, advil etc I need to find the source of the problem. I think I’d be a half decent singlespeeder if I was able to ise both legs properly.

Did you ever consider going to a sports medicine specialist? That's where I'd go if I had the issues you describe. Chiropractors may help for specific problems such as lower back pain, but other than that I'd stay away - it's basically quackery.

I've been to the Orthopedic Sports Medicine/Rehab Center for three different issues, and my SO (wrist/shoulder related to playing the piano/flute/violin/150# Lab with poor leash skills), as well. They took care of me after my "incident", and I couldn't be happier. I don't know about a CT machine, but I know they have their own x-ray, so you don't have to run around getting piddly

The rehab center is NOT part of the practice anymore, though... So if you go there, you need to submit insurance/patient info twice.
