Parking Lot on Rt 27?

I haven't ridden hear in a while but I drove past the RT27 parking lot the other day and noticed it was all under construction. I didn't stop to check it out but I was wondering if that lot is closed during construction or is it still kind of open. I was thinking of riding six mile next week and I would much rather park in RT27 Lot. I work in New Brunswick but live in Monmouth county so Rt 27 lot is much more convenient for me.

It's open. You just have to go around the construction equipment. That lot is the main lot for those sports fields, so I don't think they'll ever close it completely.

It was weird... I got to the 27 lot today and it was completely empty... so I thought, "huh... maybe it is closed..." so I rode over to the entrance to 27... Nope. Still open... Strange... Lot's a cars at the Canal lot... none at 27...
