Ride #2 Family Ride on a beautiful day. 0:52 https://www.strava.com/activities/871100902

Stopped by Rocky Point afterwards to show the kids the Big Gun, but the top lot was such a zoo we kept right on going. Some other time.

Yay Bikes. Gotta raise the kids' seats and work on shitcanning their training wheels. Oh boy...

2/18/2017: Wawayanda State Park. So, @Kaleidopete posts pic of packed down trails, I'm lured in. And my cold seems to have passed enough to get a ride in. On trail a few mins before 8:00. As he has reported in conditions thread and his Moe Mountain thread, it was decent riding if you stuck with the wider trails that the snowmobiles packed down. I ran into @trailhead (nice to meet you) near the furnace and we rode together for a short time. We rode out Double Pond, but when we reached Red Dot, it got pretty difficult to ride as the traffic split in 1/2. We decided to turn back. Back by furnace we went our own way. After following some more tracks, I arrived back near car ready to lose a layer. That's when I remembered I needed to exceed 2:26 to get a bonus. So, I decided to go see what was happening across the road on Warwick. Not a single track over there. OK, headed down road to Banker to see if coming in the other end of Double Pond was worth a shot. Got about 200 years in and gave up. So, more road time. Ended up with the extra time I needed though.

2/18 - https://www.strava.com/activities/871217774

I wanted to just enjoy the weather today, and not deal with struggling in the mud/snow/slush, so I took the fatty on the road. I often ride my fat bike on the road for a few miles here and there when riding from trail system to trail system, or house to trail system. Knowing I'd only be on the road today, I aired my tires up to 9 psi, and wow did it make a difference. I was flying! (relatively speaking of course)

Met with @slingblade_uhhuh to do some TM work. Rode a loop at Estell Manor clearing what was manageable with tools on hand. Got back to the lot and found that strava stopped recording as soon as I put the phone back in my pocket. A whole whopping 8 seconds. No clue how much time I lost. Before heading to the next park I ran back out to a couple trees we had passed earlier that I thought I may have a chance of removing.

Caught back up to Kurt over at Wharton, this time to clear a few trees on the white trail.

2/18/17: Had a very short window to get out and took advantage. Pulled out the old Defy for a road ride as the local trails are a mess and didn't want my plastic roadie to look like a salt lick. There was a bunch of grit along the sides of the roads which made it a bit sketchy in some spots. All in all, it was fun to hit the road....its been a couple of months.
