wish i had been off today and could have gotten out, instead i sit home drinking beer!

is beer in your face a thing? i think its a thing, lets do that!

who is running the march beer madness tourney? the stouts version a few years back was fantastic. we drove the price of victory up over 50%.
(seriously, when we started it was sold in 6 packs, just a month later, it was in 4 and more expensive.) the ten fidy and rasputin(sp) were damn fine.

I wanted to go out and ride but ended up in the same predicament as you. Looking forward to the weekend though to make up for this week.

I was out shoveling snow at 7 AM and did about 3 hours worth. Ate lunch, took a nap.
Called Wawayanda at noon, they said they'd open at 1. When I got there they said "sorry"
we're not opening today. So I went back home and rode my neighborhood. I rode to
Ferber Circle and it's too much snow to ride trails. I still had a good time on the empty roads.

Shoveled to the garage, and the blob at the end of the driveway. Grabbed the tallboy and went for a ride.
Should have taken the road bike and stayed off the trails. slush under snow, and the footprints were horror.
My core hurts from the balancing act - is that a good thing? Anyway, got my hour in. Didn't soil myself.

My cat likes to do his business outside. doesn't care if it is snowing or raining. #badasscat

I think you're above that age where you leave the sticker on the hat.

I rode the fat-bike on the road today. Talk about the wrong tool for the job. But I was too lazy to switch frame bags and such. < Ironic now that I read that.

The snow has been melting rapidly, but it’s still pretty impossible riding thru it. We did get a reported snow total of 18” so - no surprise. I did find a few downhills that were fun.

I didn’t take any pics during my ride, so I’ll give u a pic of 18” of snow. I actually measured on the top of the car at 21”, but it took longer to start accumulating on the ground. Feels like it had been awhile since we had a big one... but maybe I just don’t remember that well. This was the kind of storm that makes you really appreciate a snowblower.

Looks like I destroyed the field this week. This is the last big week for me for awhile, our son arrives later today for the week, so riding will drop significantly next week, then we head back to stinkin NJ the following Monday. And the streak ends today too - 67 days is enough. My hamstrings are sore and need a break.

Anywho, this week:

6 rides (1 mtb, 5 road), 1 run day

15 hr, 4 min
250.3 miles

Started the week at my favorite local trails - filled with tribbles:

Couple of rides with Bob, went to the beach:

Saw what happens when you ride too much, eat too little:

Did another metric century this week (and found some more trails to explore):

I like to find wild sustenance for rides - I've seen these trees full of fruit but didn't know what they were. Yesterday some old polish woman was picking and eating them - I asked what they were and she said "I don't know but they are really good". I googled first before trying them - turns out they are loquats and are actually very good. Ate a few handfuls and then rode home:
