Hello to all, just started riding again at 53 and liked the look and feel of the Stache 7. I'm mostly on the rail trails for now and look forward to more challenging rides soon! Here's a photo of my new 2017 Stache 7. Boy how things have changed!

Welcome. Where do you live, a bike like that needs less rails and more trails.
I live in Sussex county Newton. I'm near KVSP and Allamuchy but was concerned they are considered intermediate to advanced. I was planning on going to the Wed. rides at Morris Lewis and Tourne. Any other suggestions around me?

KVSP is not too difficult, Mooch is tough for a beginner(a lot of climbing and tech). Deer Park is also a good option.

Welcome Aboard if you get down to Allaire on Tuesday nights there is a beginner based ride that is a lot of fun.
Oh BTW as it has been said before " 53 is old? Pfffft!"

53? Just hitting your prime! Yup Deer Park and the lower part of Stevens are beginner friendly. Much of KVSP is not terribly technical also. You've got plenty of bike to help you along there. Have fun!

Shit....looks like we need to put a Geritol Ride together! There are many of us 50+ folk here. Riding everyday and lovin' it at 55!

Thanks for the Welcome and advice. It's been awhile since I was on a bike and I thought I was absolutely crazy buying this bike! I'm loving being outdoors riding it but I want to do more with it than just the flat trails. I take back the 53 comment although a Geritol ride sounds good!
