Need New Brakes for DH

Now my old XT's have no modulation at all (there was very little to begin with). The brakes are either on or off, there is nothing in between.

I'm a fan of Shimano, but Hope V4 come highly recommended.

I prefer mineral oil to DOT fluid.

I'm cheap, not very fast (ride mostly blue trails @ Creek) and have not been more than 3 ft off the ground in years.

What say ye?

Thank you in advance.

Shimano Zee's offer the best bang for your buck by far...Saint like performance at a lesser cost....same caliper as the Saint...

Been doing the same research and was looking for code Rs or Zees but found a set of 810s on PB for cheap. I also got an e4 set for the trail bike so what do I know.... I'm just starting to DH, so no reason to dump a lot of cash. Which XT were you using?
