Need house stained/painted and some trim work

starting to get quotes for the spring for the exterior, want a guy/gal who works on jobs and not sub contracts painters

Really nice guy, did a great job, and he does the work (along with a helper or two). He did my house and my next door neighbor's house as well.
 
I'm assuming planks are the long boards. That's what I have. They're cedar. My neighbor has shingles.

thanks, I meant to say shakes and not shingles, I almost bought a house in Far Hills with real cedar shingles on the roofs, they were 2" thick and beautiful. One of the two houses I regret not buying
