soon to be 25 years Freddie. RIP.

little cross-over history, if you like that stuff -

that adolescent thump of we will rock you/we are the champions was not where Freddie wanted to go. listen to all the other songs.
Was talking to @mattybfat about it the other day - this was a great collaboration
with Montserrat Caballé - there are many rock vocalists, there are not may opera artists. you can see why,
he almost holds his own,.... but could deliver a performance. No way she puts herself out there with him if it wasn't for his delivery, unique voice.

anout 2:45 or so they start to actually perform

They sing together.

Rock-Opera - Montserrat is really enjoying herself.

so you need a reference - Simon Le Bon of duran duran seems pretty good, you know
hungry like the wolf, rio, etc.

watch him get destroyed by Luciano. its hard to watch.

how's Bono do? Turn it all the way up. serious at 7:00

lets try a little younger - Pavarotti was way past prime in that first one. this is early 90s when the three tenors were
charging more than the rolling stones, and packing giants stadium.......and every stadium around the world.

btw pavarotti is not the top of the food chain. he was the best performer, but not the best voice.
sinatra in the audience - 199? these guys are not really biligual, so they are doing the abba thing.

Good stuff @fidodie
Just shows how solid Freddy really was as a monsterous voice and showman. Very sad he went too soon.
What can you say about the boom of opera voices. So much god giving talent.

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
besides cheesesteaks, wissahickon and vinny sulak, this may be the only other thing i like from/about philly:

Something about the dude Jus Allah gets me hyped too, you'll know who he is just because his voice is completely different from everyone else

Would think "Scary Monsters and Super Creeps" would've been a more fitting cover for Halloween., No?

They haven't really done the scary thing expect for 2014 when they played the Disney Haunted House thingy

94 – The White Album by The Beatles
95 – Quadrophenia by The Who
96 – Remain In Light by The Talking Heads
98 – Loaded by The Velvet Underground
11/2/98 - Dark Side of the Moon Pink Floyd (Next show after Halloween)
09 – Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
10 – Waiting For Columbus by Little Feat
13 – Wingsuit by Phish
14 – The Chilling Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House, by Walt Disney Records

I've heard this dude on the radio throughout the summer. Lately I find myself playing this song in my head, it seems relevant post election.
