For the Bowie/Phish fans out there.... Phish played The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars last night as a 2nd set musical costume.
soon to be 25 years Freddie. RIP.
little cross-over history, if you like that stuff -
that adolescent thump of we will rock you/we are the champions was not where Freddie wanted to go. listen to all the other songs.
Was talking to @mattybfat about it the other day - this was a great collaboration
with Montserrat Caballé - there are many rock vocalists, there are not may opera artists. you can see why,
he almost holds his own,.... but could deliver a performance. No way she puts herself out there with him if it wasn't for his delivery, unique voice.
anout 2:45 or so they start to actually perform
They sing together.
Rock-Opera - Montserrat is really enjoying herself.
so you need a reference - Simon Le Bon of duran duran seems pretty good, you know
hungry like the wolf, rio, etc.
watch him get destroyed by Luciano. its hard to watch.
how's Bono do? Turn it all the way up. serious at 7:00
lets try a little younger - Pavarotti was way past prime in that first one. this is early 90s when the three tenors were
charging more than the rolling stones, and packing giants stadium.......and every stadium around the world.

btw pavarotti is not the top of the food chain. he was the best performer, but not the best voice.

Would think "Scary Monsters and Super Creeps" would've been a more fitting cover for Halloween., No?
