Frozen, of course, with 1/2" or so of snow on most trails. Fear not, however, said snow has negligible affect on riding...it's good.
Only thing the snow is doing is hiding some icy patches here and there. However, there is usually enough exposed ice that it is fairly obvious where ya' gotta' be on your toes.
Rode mostly south of weldon but I did do 3-stone and conditions were just as good as south of the asphalt.
Only thing I saw that was really bad was the bottom of the Devil's Staircase; pretty much solid ice. If one were *very* adventurous, they could probably pick a line through it, but it'd be wise for most of us mere mortals to walk it.
Not a lot of bike traffic on the south side; I think I saw two other tracks down the wall, only one on Stone Gate. Maybe 4-5 tracks north of weldon. A lot of hikers out and about today, though.
