Manufacturing Engineer Opening in Carteret, NJ

let me guess....they want to pay $8.50 an hour?...Tell them to up the payscale and not be so cheep.

At may last job they needed tool and dye men and told the shop they could not get anyone...the truth is they wanted tool and dye man for $10 bucks an hour. It got so bad that the CEO pulled all the managers into the office and hammered everyone for not meeting production numbers...the forman of the tool room told him to shutup and fill the open jobs...the operation VP said there was noone willing to do the job. The forman told him in front of the CEO that he could fill the jobs by the end of the day if they would pay what was needed to get good tool men...the CEO told him to try...the jobs were filled by the end of the day for 18 bucks an hour and the ops VP was gone in a month..... :hmmm:
 
Well, this is a salaried position but knowing my company they are probably low balling like u described. This position would be a great fit for a kid right out of college but they're asking for 1-3 years of experience which is probably also a factor.
 
Why fill the opening? they are getting you to work harder and have one less person on the payrole...win-win...........the new norm
