Anyone ever ride on the wrong side of the road?

Gonna be there for about a week in mid December. Maybe rent a road bike? Looks like some MTB trails may be about 45 minutes away, so that could be an option also.....

Anyone have thoughts or advise? Jokes are welcome too.

London proper is not where you want to ride a road bike as a tourist. Probably the least friendly bike city I've been to and I go about once a year. However, if you have time ride out by Windsor where the Queen Mum lives. My favorite suburb of London to ride is Canterbury, but it's a bit far.

Nice route heading north and east out into the countryside

Chitern 100 Sportive ( PIA getting to start, took train back at the end of the day )

I was riding a single speed rental POS so the Chilterns ride did me but the countryside was off the hook scenic.

There are also nice routes heading south east and south west. Much like NY to get to nicer areas the ride either needs to be a long one or you need to take the underground. Some of the underground trains allow bikes, some not ( deep train lines with escalators are no go unless bikes fold )

Covelo is a club that runs weekend rides that meet in one place but break into multiple rides...

Good luck.

PS : For MTB it appears that Wales is the real deal

Hit the Assos store by Piccadilly. They have a really good map of local routes starting in London and heading out. As a bonus, You can also get the Equipe bib short for waaay cheaper than here.

@MadisonDan Hit me up if you end up in Wales, I know someone who used to have a mtb tour business there. I'll get to Wales one of these years and have her show me around
