Today's security problem. The LetGo app allows people to sign up and start selling and buying stuff before email verification. So someone can sign up with your email, and you will start getting alerts from people to buy your shit, and they can contact other sellers about their products.
if this happens to you - run a password reset on letgo.com, use a unique password. load the app, and delete any items they listed for you.
I also have a conspiracy theory, and if it is real, i'm going for treble damages. I think they are fishing for new customers, or have a referer scheme going.
Either way, it is poor decision making. They probably had the marketing people make that decision - don't want to lose a customer cause they might not have their email handy, even tho they are using their phone to post pics of stuff for sale. idiots.
