Going Long and Hard.

Just do both. It's CX, it's not supposed to make sense.

This would hurt. A lot. Reminds of the days when they would do Beacon (Bridgeton) and HPCX as a double UCI weekend. I missed Beacon because I rode for the Hermes back then and we'd be setting up HPCX that Saturday. I miss all the old hard courses before USAC became CX Nazis. Original Westwood. Craigmeur. P-Burg. Staten CX. None of that shit will fly today. Needs to be 8 feet wide and rideable with 28c tires.

Rippin' Quibbletown this morning with a World Champion. Legs are warming up to the idea of going not long. Still have zero high end but I can sit at 400 watts for 20 minute sets so hopefully I can fake it.

Officially downgraded to Cat2 so I can race 40+. USAC approved this morning.

Nah, dem tires are waaaay to thick to be UCI legal, which is what, 33's I believe.

When he's carving the pow on dat silly bike I might get a little agita doe.o_O

Don't worry, I'm still prepping for Jay's. I just realized that my fitnesss level has nothing to do with finishing that race so I can play around more in the fall. I also have 2 more Randos just before Bridgeton to undo any fast twitch gains I make.

My weekend tally was a bit short but I was glad to give up some hours to ride with the boy all 3 days. We logged almost 50 miles together which was awesome.

Right...The FS tells him a bridge will be out of service, he says great, there will just be a stream crossing in the race...at -20 Deg.
