the world seemed to exist in black and white today (maybe some green)

i cut through the golf course, hit some field-side roads, and old rail beds. Then went through an area that is only
accessible when frozen. quite a bit of pedaling, paying for it now.

That may have been me. I started my ride at 10:20 am. My user name on there is MissJR as well... The other "M" MTBNJ-er is Magic but I don't think he was zwifting before.

i was outside for about 3:30 today - started out a cool 16F, and was knocking on 30 when i finished. bright sunshine and limited wind in the woods.

i cut into duke island park using an old access road, and i managed to miss a closed gate at the road. as i came across the main entrance, i found many pick-up trucks and men in orange hats. ranger waved me over, and said the park was closed. hmm, i concurred.

did some more of the CNJ railbed from the raritan river near 206, and the west fields of the duke estate. it connects up with some of the railbed from my last ride.
i'll do some investigating in the other direction soon - i know where it goes into 3 bridges, as i've been on it before. I'll also track it across 206, and explore some of the new trails along the raritan.

I haven't posted in this thread yet. It has been motivating but I haven't stopped for many pictures. Yesterday's ride was memorable since the temps were in the single digits. There was lots of ice on the trails but riding was still better than sitting on my couch since I had the day off from work. I got a really nice ride in at Hartshorne after work today. The trails were frozen solid and perfect. It has me longing for days when the trails are legitimately dry. It has been so long since I have ridden a dry trail that I was very aware of how bad my cornering technique had gotten. The frozen surfaces resemble loose over hard and require good technique. Even though it was cold AF I was still surprised to see ice in the salty waters near Hartshorne.
