I think it's time, I'll also chip in to set it on fire.

True story. Although the fan now turns on again (sometimes). It's currently ice cold in here.

We'll probably replace at least the outside unit, but I'm hoping it'll last the summer. Then we can get a bored HVAC guy in the Fall to install it for us. Then we can set the old one on fire.

Do keep in mind you're sticking your hands into an area that has 240v and probably 40amps. Contractors either work or don't work. I'd get some no flash contactor cleaner and spray the shit out of the contactor, after shutting off the breaker or pulling the disconnect. Good luck.
