A joint project of the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference, Sterling Forest State Park and the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, this 3.5 mile single-track trail is ready for hikers, equestrians and mountain bikes.

Winding its way through lovely hemlock forest and historic mining sites, the Hutchinson trail is the labor of thousands of hours by the Trail Conference Conservation Corps and volunteers. With special thanks to REI, Rockland Conservation and Service Corps, Palisades MTB, The Corps Network EAP Program for their support.

Light refreshments will be provided. Join us for an interpretive hike or ride afterward.

Geo-location: N41.20686 W 74.239673. Caretaker Parking Lot, Long Meadow Road (Route 84), 1 mile north of Sterling Forest Visitor center. Parking Entrance will be flagged.
