Hit and run in Verona last night

there won't be any repercussions. nothing's going to happen to this guy other than a slap on the wrist. i've always said, if you legitimately want to get away with murder in this country, run over a cyclist with your car. i've been following such stories for years. the most these people get is probation usually. probably the most disgusting thing in the world.

I was on grand jury duty in 2015. One of the cases we indicted was a hit and run & death of a cyclist. This happened in Howell on Herbertsville rd. All the jurors were enraged after hearing the evidence of what the driver did to cover up the evidence. I never heard what happened at the actual trial, but we all surmised this 70 something holocaust surviver would get away with minimal jail time. Still makes me angry. I was pleased to serve jury duty that day.
