Industrial Facilities Technician
Seeking a skilled, hard-working individual to take responsibility of the equipment and facility at our Mountainside, New Jersey location.
We design and manufacture specialized equipment for the military and public safety markets. As a company, we are committed to producing the most innovative and highest quality American-made protective gear available. We are looking for a key person to help us expand our capabilities and keep the facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities will include:
• Plan, install and set up new manufacturing equipment and fixtures
• Maintain and repair existing equipment and fixtures
• Maintain and make improvements to our 10,000 sqft facility
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules
• Proactively identify and maintain stock of essential spare parts inventory
• Hire and oversee tradesmen as necessary for specialized projects
Skills & traits required:
• Experienced in successfully planning, installing, maintaining and repairing a wide variety of mechanical and electrical industrial equipment & systems
• HVAC, 3-phase electric, boiler/steam, industrial electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, lighting, surveillance, security, carpentry, masonry, grounds keeping
• Self-motivated, resourceful, effective problem solving skills
• Safe, skillful use of manual & power tools
• General computer skills
• Naturally positive attitude
• Well organized and tidy
• Good communication & comprehension skills; fluent in English; bilingual Spanish a plus
• Must be punctual, and have flexibility to work occasional odd hours as necessary to accommodate production schedule
• Regular physical exertion and heavy lifting will be necessary
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record & reliable transportation (Personal vehicle will occasionally be used to pick up supplies for urgent facility needs)
• Clean drug test, clean background check
